TR July 16th - 24th

Will post in segments as a reply, yes it was a LONG time in Vegas, but went by quickly!

TR July 16th - 24th

I tend to be wordy (the Teacher in me), so please bear with me. This trip was planned after our daughter decided to take a teachng position in Hawaii. She flew out Sunday/Monday to Oahu, and we packed and flew out Wednesday.

Landed in Vegas around noon, took the shuttle to Harrah%26#39;s got a suite (thanks Jacktar) overlooking Carnival Court, but high enough not to hear anything.

First thing to do, go down and meet Bob, husband played VP and I wandered around on slots, little wins here and there, but always coming back to Bob for a cocktail, It is not 7:00 and I thnk we should eat something, up to Toby Keith%26#39;s for a sandwich, steak for husband, chicken wrap for me, just fair, but by this time, bewteen the packing up and sending daughter off, same with us and cocktails, I was ready for bed! I think it was the culmination fo the entire month, so I was in bed in Vegas by 8:30 that first night, NO ONE at home even believes it, but after a good night of sleep, we were on the floor by 5:00. Went to buffet for breakfast and planned out the day, decided to take a bus to Primm, because we have never been there and was curious, took the shuttle from the MGM, no need to ever go back, alot of over-priced outlets. Walked through the Terrible complex and headed back to Harrah%26#39;s by 3:00.

Showered and went down to visit with Bob and play a bit. Ate dinner at the Oyster Bar, it was great! Sat for a bit and took in the sights.

Wandered over to IP for a bit, started out in the fron of the casino with out much luck, but moved toward the back with alot more success! Played and drank until about 1, then headed back to Harrah%26#39;s

next..move to Flamingo, Jersey Boys

TR July 16th - 24th

AHHH! I have been waiting for your TR! Great start. Can%26#39;t wait to read the rest of it.

Got up on Friday for the move to the Flamingo, husband went to spa, I packed up. Decided to try to get tickets to Jersey Boys, called the box office, 1st row, rear orchestra, that night 7pm for a total of $207. Booked them, moved to Flamingo, I really feel like this is home to me. Love the casual feel of the place. Did dinner at the Grand Lux before the show, had my belinni and mongolian beef, cabbed down, way too hot to be walking! Loved the show, actually am going back next month with the girls to see it again.

Spend Saturday am with 15m at breakfast and Harrah%26#39;s with Bob (again) Went downtown for the afternoon, ate at the Golden Gate (Bay City Diner). Hubby had the special, I had a hamburger-chili thing, was pretty good and no heartburn!

Sunday, started out at the pool, but along came the thundershowers and in we went. Met up with Spike, Co Traveler, Music Man, and 15M, first at Harrah%26#39;s too hot and loud, so we went to the Sake Bar at the IP. Had a nice visit and then we went off to Paris, up the tower to watch the water show at Bellagio. Stopped and ate at the Burger Brasserie, great sandwich and fries. Then back to the Flamingo.

I guess I should stay that all these blank areas were gambling sessions and a few cocktails. We usually played until about 2-3 in the am. No big wins, but enough wins to keep us going and always to

be up a little bit.

Monday thru Thursday to follow...

I%26#39;m lovin it so far. I%26#39;m glad to see that you kept Bob company. I hope that he treated you well. Nice score on the suite.

Bob was very kind to us, thoroughly enjoyed our time @ Harrah%26#39;s. Had a few nice hits to bring me back. One bonus hit on Giesha%26#39;s $225.00, another for $115.00!

I%26#39;ve had great luck on Geisha machines too! They are one of my favorites. The Sun-Moon machines have been good to me too.

It sounds like the Geisha machines were at Harrahs. I used to play one of them near the sports bar. There was good cocktail service there too. I hope it is still there as I am going to Harrahs in about three weeks!

Thanks for the trip report.

Steve,

I had great luck on the Giesha machine that was part of the railroad bonus. Walking into Harrah%26#39;s from the Mirage, stay to the right side of the tables, next to a fish machine. White Orchids is near there and pretyy good also!

Got up Sunday %26amp; went to the pool for a few hours, around noon we walked to Paris to go up the Tower, too windy, so we wandered back via Bruger Brasserie, good sandwiches and french fries.. Played our way back to the Flamingo and then met up with Spike, Co Traveler, Music Man and 15m at Harrah%26#39;s, too noisy so we moved to the IP at the Sake Bar. Had a nice visit for a few hours and then headed back to Paris to try the Tower again. Well, I%26#39;m glad we waited because to watch the Bellagio Water Show from the top was wonderful!

Monday was the day at Laughlin, too hot to walk much so we took the water taxi to Harrah%26#39;s did some shopping and ate at the Colorado Belle, glad it only cost $5.00 each, lunch was not good, but I did enjoy my apples and ice cream!

Back to the Flamingo for some gambling %26amp; drinks!

I would love to see the fountains from the tower. I%26#39;m sure that it was beautiful. The M%26amp;G sounds like fun.
