Anyone going in February? What's the weather going like?

We are going in Feb 2009 with my step daughter and her boyfriend (their first time) We have been there in the summer and october but never february, is it usually wet? Will it be warm enough to use the pool?

Wet - no. You%26#39;re in the desert remember.

Pool weather - you%26#39;ll need a lot of luck. More than likely too chilly but not totally out of the question.

Many pools are not open year around. Where are you staying?

I%26#39;ve been in Feb (a few years ago) and it was mild (mid 60%26#39;s F) and very windy. No rain though. Definitely not warm enough for the pool, although it was open. I guess it just depends on how brave you are :)

I was there this past Feb and it was in the 60%26#39;s in the day and breezy and in the 40%26#39;s at night...Not pool weather and also Feb. is a very busy time in Las Vegas. Lots of conventions around that time.

The chances of using the pool are not good. The average high in February- low to mid 60s but the highs can range from the 30s to the 80s. You are going to have to check a weather site just before leaving to see if you are going to hit a warm or cool spell.

Most hotels do keep one heated pool open year round. They also have a Jacuzzi. The problem is getting out of the Jacuzzi, drying off, throwing some clothes on and then getting back into the hotel before turning into a ice cube. I have used a Jacuzzi in winter.

I was there feb last year and it was very cold in the evening and windy. Apparently this was because a wind was coming from the north. Day time was lovely and warm though, t-shirt weather. I would also add that we had some snow on our wedding day on 28th feb, but apparently that is really freaky.

Most pools in the hotel were closed.

Thanks Guys, we are staying at Bill%26#39;s, mainly because of the reviews on this site!

Just wondering what to pack, clothes wise.

Bill';s doesn%26#39;t have a pool but you can use the pools at the Flamingo-if it is warm enough.

If you go in the winter it is always best to bring clothes that can be layered- tops with short/long sleeves, a mediumweight sweater( or something comparable) and a lined jacket. This way you will be prepared for any kind of weather.

We have gone every Feb. for the past few years..50s and 60s, so a leather jacket over a sweater was fine. It was pleasant walking during the day.

It pretty well depends on what that pesky jet-stream will be up to -very unpredictable. There is always the possibility of wet weather at that time of the year, but unlikely.
