Mirage Construction - Inside and Outside

I have booked Mirage for 4 nights in mid August at a very good rate. We didnt plan on coming back to Vegas so soon as we were just there in May but with the rate on the hotel at 59 per night and flights at a below average price, had to book it. When we were there in may we noticed that the long moving walkway that goes into the casino by the tigers was closed and that the volcano was also under construction and closed. Is the walkway still closed. Is the volcano still closed?

Inside, Im wondering about renovated rooms. Are most of the regular rooms remodeled at this point. I read in another post that majority were done and that the suites were next. Id like a renovated room, but for the price Im not going to complain if i cant get one. At a price of 59 its worth it for us just to be able to use the pool every day and have a place to store our stuff.

Moving walkway is now a permanent walkway:

BLT is now open where the old Tiger exhibit was:

All regular rooms ';should'; be remodeled by the time you arrive.

Construction of the front Volcano should still be going on. Update us with pics from your stya please!

Funny to see a restaraunt where the tigers used to be. I wonder if it smells like tigers in there? Only kidding. I understand they have some new tiger babies out there now. Are these on display only in the Secret Garden then or is there somewhere else they can be seen?

You%26#39;d have to ask when you get there. Wife wanted to see the Tigers but we ran out of time. But here%26#39;s a link to the new cubs they want you to see:

that does seem strange to see a burger bar where the tigers used to be.

I wonder why they changed the moving walkway into a permanent one. Well now at least they don%26#39;t have to worry about it breaking down anymore.

The Mirage was too cheap to replace the moving walkway.
