Alize at The Palms or Top of The World at Stratosphere?

Could anyone tell me which they feel is the better restaurant out of these two for a nice meal with a view of the strip?

Going for a week in September and wanted at least two nights nice food and surroundings so have booked Olives and am a bit undecided on picking one of these two for our other night of nice dining?

Anyone%26#39;s views, advice and experiences would be very welcome!

Alize is the better restaurant but IMO Top of the world has the better view, so just go and have drinks at the top of the world at sunset some evening.

Top of the world also rotates 360 degrees.

No contest. Alizé is, in my opinion, by far the better restaurant of the two in terms of quality of food. One of the great Vegas dining experiences.... :-)

After checking out their respective websites I had a feeling that Alize would be the better of the two for food and quality!

And I suppose we can always go to the Stratosphere just for drinks and the view and maybe even one of the rides...if brave enough!

You made a very wise choice. I would not even put the two restaurants in the same category! The food, service and ambience at Alize is superb!

What%26#39;s with all the TOTW bashing?

The TOTW is a unique LV experience. The restaurant revolves! You get to see a 360* view of Las Vegas and get to appreciate how big the city really is. OK, so it isn%26#39;t as trendy as some of the newer places but the food is old school classic and they have one of the best sommeliers in town who doesn%26#39;t try and rip you off.

Alize is very, very good and you will have a great meal but it doesn%26#39;t have the relaxed calmness of TOTW.

If you want a trendy meal with the best view of the strip then you should check out Mix at Mandalay Bay. Top class. If you don%26#39;t eat there, make sure you go for a cocktail at sunset, one of my favourite LV things to do.

I don%26#39;t see any bashing of TOTW. The poster asked an opinion: which restauarant would they consider the better one? Some people (who have eaten at both) prefer Alize to TOW. Others disagree. Some people like the novelty of a revolving restaurant while others don%26#39;t. I never found Alize to be stuffy.

This is one of those comparisons that is going to be very one-sided. There is nothing wrong with TOW as an experiance but the quality of the food does not compare. Same with the top of the Space Needle in Seatttle; a wonderful experiance but nobody considers it a top restaurant.

Very simply if Alize were on the ground floor of any Strip hotel it would still be considered a good restaurant---TOW would not. Hell, Alize is so good it is usually full of 40 and 50 year olds who make a special trip to brave the Palms.
