Why do so manyh of the drivers try to cheat the people? Would someone explain.

If you feel you are being cheated, anywhere-not just in LV, immediately call the proper taxi authority with the cab # and driver%26#39;s name.

I have never been cheated by a taxi driver in Vegas. Would you please explain your question?

they charged my poor old mother of 88 yrs from the airport to the old Stardust; the man demanded 35 dollars. Is that being overcharged?

Maybe he had trouble finding it (the Stardust)since it%26#39;s not where it used to be.

this happened when the Stardust was on the Strip.

She probably got tunneled plus--maybe he missed the exit and went almost to downtown. Anyway, that%26#39;s a lot.

That is a rip off... some people are just jerks.

I never had any problems with a cab driver in Vegas but I do realize there are some that do try to take advantage of tourists. I am just not sure I agree with ';so many.'; The posters who are long hauled are the ones who write about it. Not many people bother to write: I took a cab in Vegas and I wasn%26#39;t cheated!

If someone feels they were treated unfairly they can immediately call the cab authority- even before getting out of the cab.

I am pleased you were not cheated.

Id never had a issue with vegas taxi drivers. Matter a fact ive only had excellent drivers, to the point I was taken from circus circus to NEW york New york hotel in about 7 mmins and took less then 5 mins, the bill was like $12 with a tip.
