Combining two Players Club cards....

Hi,

Quick question, sorry if it%26#39;s retreading old ground.

Apparently it%26#39;s 1500 points for two free buffets at the MGM. My Wife and I both have seperate cards, but would like to combine them to reach this 1500 point tally quicker. I appreciate and welcome the suggestion that you should never chase comps but with our level of play we would comfortably make this total (maybe twice) playing slots.

Do we just ask at the Players Club desk to combine? How would it work, would we still have seperate card numbers but just link into one account?

Any help much appreciated.

Combining two Players Club cards....

Yes, just visit the Players Club and ask them to ';link'; your two accounts. They do that for husband and wife.

Thanks Low.

It states on AdvantagePlayer.com that all points have to be earnt at the MGM Grand, but obviously points on the Players Club card are accumulated with play at other MGM/Mirage properties.

We very nearly always play at the hotel we are staying in during the evening/night (which will be the MGM again this year) but quite often dabble during the day in the Luxor, NYNY, Excalibur et al. So how are you to know how much of those points earnt are MGM specific?

All of the places you play at that are MGM properties count toward your points on your card. Be sure to use your MGM card at every place you play (MGM properties, that is.)

Also be sure to log on to www.playersclub.com and check out what other things you might have. You can tell from there if your cards are linked, how much free cash you have and any other offers from hotels. We just recently did this, didn%26#39;t know what we had :)

SueA,

Where does it say if your accounts are linked on the playersclub.com page? My wife and mine should be linked but I don%26#39;t see a mention of it.

Thanks :)

Hi Sue,

Just been onto www.playerscard.com as you suggested and have created an online account.

I also did the same for my Wife.

It does look as though we are already linked up as her name shows on my account and vice versa. We have the grand total of 1 point on my card and 40 on my Wife%26#39;s, although we did clear them using Pointplay last September (wasn%26#39;t expecting such a quick return to Vegas next month admittedly).

Has anybody actually claimed the two MGM buffets upon reaching 1500 points? If so, how did you go about it. I was only told of the need to reach 1000 points for $10 Pointplay last September and wasn%26#39;t aware of any benefits apart from comps for hotel rooms etc.

Interestingly also, my email address is incorrect on the Playersclub system (the co.uk replaced by 3.uk) so I wonder if all my offers have been bouncing back to the MGM. I know we had this discussion the other week about MGM not sending deals out to UK guests, but I am wondering now if this was down to this invalid email account. The Casino Marketing woman I spoke to on Friday seemed quite happy to give me a Friday rate of $109 for the extra night needed.

Thanks.

Kerplooey,

Under the reward balance is the 2008 Holiday Gift Shoppe point balance and it states both my name and my Wife%26#39;s under this which I am thinking confirms they are linked already.

Thanks for the response, My wifes name isn%26#39;t appearing, I guess I better give them a call
