My first comp!

I am so excited!

I got a card in the mail today from the Venetian/Palazzo for 3 free nights! Booked at the Palazzo, cancelled Paris and I%26#39;m so freaking excited!

We got a decent casino rate for our 4th night, so our 4 nights at Palazzo are $150 cheaper than Paris would have been!

We are VERY low rollers so to get this offer at such a nice place blows my mind! In fact the only time we%26#39;ve gambled at the Venetian (never been to Palazzo) was last summer, we got our players cards, $15 in free play and walked out up $85 from it. Guess they want it back!

Thanks for indulging me, this just doesn%26#39;t happen!

My first comp!

Congrats maybe I should sign up for the slot club when I go back in March LOL!!!

My first comp!

Yeah, many of us know the feeling! It is wonderful! Go and have a GREAT trip!

I have comped rooms at the TI booked two months ago. Now the Bellagio sends me comped weekday nights till Aug 31th. they must really be hurting for business. I have stayed at the bellagion once, on three comped nights about 4 years ago.

Moral of the story, get those players club cards and make 2-3 trips a year and you will see free nights.

Congrats on your first comp! It%26#39;s an exciting thing. I hope you win big!

I know how you feel - we also got our first comps from Vegas this year! We were thrilled. Congratulations and enjoy your time at the Venetian.

ya Vegas is really hurting right now for customers... seems they are just giving these things out

It%26#39;s no secret that even Vegas is feeling the effects of the weak economy but I wouldn%26#39;t say they%26#39;re hurting...I doubt everyone there is being comped their rooms.

It%26#39;s summer, it%26#39;s 100 degrees, and they want to fill some rooms on weekdays. Take it while you can because when the economy strengthens it%26#39;s likely those comps won%26#39;t be handed out so easily.

The cost to put someone is a room is quite low, they already have housekeeping staff cleaning rooms so a few more rooms is not a bid deal. They want you to spend money gambling and on food and entertainment.

Now if they start comping you for everything and you don%26#39;t gamble then they got a problem.

I have taken 5 comp%26#39;ed hotel stays in Vegas this year. I also had an additional comp stay at the Wynn, but I had to cancel. Comp stays are nice. In many instances, you have to spend some money in the casinos to get a comp room.

I had never been to the Wynn, but I am sure the casinos share information about their players.

If you want the comps to continue, make sure you use your players%26#39; card. I have soooo many players cards on my bungee cord.

I%26#39;ll be going to Hooters soon for a nice comp%26#39;ed stay and massage for 2 days. Plus, I just got some coupons for ';Free Slot Play'; and $15 off meals at the Hard Rock Hotel! That should be a nice trip for me.

The hotel registration lines are rather long in Vegas. I do not believe Vegas is really hurting all that much. Vegas is not giving anything away.

At one point, I had decided not to go to Vegas during this recession. But, I controlled spending at home and have become very very tight fisted so that I can continue going to Vegas. Vegas is my favorite travel spot for so many different reasons.

So, I%26#39;ll keep using my players%26#39; card and use my comp coupons for some fun in fun city!
