I remember before someone posted a link to a website that had all the %26#39;official%26#39; names to the cocktails, and what goes in them.

Cant remember what it is so if anyone knows a good link so i can print it out and put it with all my %26#39;vegas stuff%26#39; :P

I find that it%26#39;s best to avoid cocktails that are named after natural disasters or ordinances. Hand grenades and hurricanes on Bourbon St. taught me that one the hard way. I%26#39;m sure Vegas has their own %26#39;trade secret%26#39; recipes that are equally as insidious.

Hahaha @ Hand Grenades on Bourbon St. I got wrecked off those things when I was there for Jazzfest. I brought home a pamphlet from the place that sold them. The Title is ';What%26#39;s in a Hand Grenade?';. Well it doesn%26#39;t tell you what%26#39;s in it but it slanders The Hurricane and offers a reward if you snitch on any other establishment in the world that sells and calls there drink ';The Hand Grenade';

I guess they have a Trademark on it.

I was a bartender at several places over a dozen years (glad that%26#39;s over) and I concluded several years ago that there are no new drinks, only new names. I have had a woman from Wisconsin order a ';vodka paralyzer'; only to discover that this drink was a ';Colorado bulldog'; here in TX. Best idea for you is to learn what you like and ask the bartender for those things (i.e. fruity, creamy, strong, etc.). Know your liquors and order for same.
