plane ticket prices going up since the prices in gas have shot up?

wanna start planning our yearly trip this yr but im afraid im gonna be shocked at the prices...

Yes airfares have increaded hugely,we booked our flights to Vegas via New York in January and checked the price last month they were gone up by $400..lucky we didnt wait..

Yes. It was a Tuesday in June and I booked flights from Heathrow to Albuquerque via Houston, and then Las Vegas to Heathrow again via Houston and the next day they had gone up by £150 per person ($300pp).

A lot of people were caught out. I saw Virgin direct flights to Vegas in Mid August for £700 one day, and the next they had gone up to nearly £900. In fact now, if you go out on a particular Sunday in August the cost is £1200+ pp which is frightening.

Yup. We booked ours a couple of weeks ago and the price had gone up $250 per person from Detroit for Aug. We couldn%26#39;t book earlier because we were waiting to know if we could all get time off work. That money will come out of gambling money.

Last year I flew direct from UK to LV with Virgin-Atlantic and the flight cost £420($840) return, this year the same flights are around £700($1400), crazy prices.

Got our tickets in Feb, for a trip in December, at $224, now the same ticket is 375, im glad we didnt wait

Check out Southwest%26#39;s website. They have been running a special out of Austin for the last few days. We were able to get our tickets for $99 each to LV in August, and $129 for the return flight. I still check everyday to watch for the little fluctuations.

I booked my 2 tickets from Indy to Vegas last Friday for $239 RT per person. I wasnt sure i could go at the time i booked, so i purchased insurance for $10 on each ticket. The next Monday I checked to see if the price had went up or down. Tickets were now $544 RT per person. In a matter of 3 days prices had jumped $300 each.

Last year in the end we flew into LAX and then got an internal on Southwest. The LAX return was £375.

This year (just over a weeks time) we are heading to New Mexico first, and then onto Vegas. Continental beat everybody on this occasion. Roll on Saturday week.

Ive noticed it, but ive also noticed that the great deals are out there if youre good about checking airfare a coupel times a day. I fly Allegiant out of my hometown (its so nice not to hav eto go to Seatac), and I just booked two round trip tickets for $325 total. Fare going down is $28 pp. its about the same as when we went in April, but i had to catch it at just the right time. I looked in the late morning, saw the fare, booked it, and it was gone that evening.

I booked for our October trip earlier this month and I checked again over the weekend and the rate went up $350 (from MSP).
