Romantic Restaurant for 30th Birthday

This will be our first time to Vegas and I am looking for a nice romantic restaurant to celebrate my 30th birthday. We will be staying in the Bellagio but thought that the Stratosphere would be good for the view. Really want to make this a special occassion, any ideas would be great. We%26#39;ll be going early October and booking for a Monday night.

Romantic Restaurant for 30th Birthday

You will get alot of negative comments about the Top of the World @ the Strat. However, it%26#39;s one of our FAVORITE romantic restaurants. The food is very good, and the view is breathtaking.

Make your reservations for dusk. This way you will see Vegas in the daylight; the most gorgeous sunset; and then the beauty of the city lights.

The entire dining experience takes about an hour and half, which is how long it takes for the restaurant to revolve.

The appetizers and desserts are excellent. The main courses are very good. I would say we have never ever had a bad meal there.

Service is excellent, too. There is a dress code, and you must go through security before you can take the elevator to the restaurant.

Our 2nd favorite romantic restaurant is Olives at Bellagio. Have your dessert out on the patio and watch the beautiful fountain show.

3rd favorite is Mon Ami Gabi.

Romantic Restaurant for 30th Birthday

I think the most romantic restaurant in Vegas is downtown: Andre%26#39;s. You can%26#39;t beat the food, service and ambience. It is well worth the trip. It doesn%26#39;t have a view but you can always go elsewhere (Voodoo Lounge, Stratosphere, etc.) for drinks afterwards.

If you want something closer and with a view:

Alize (Palms). It is all of the above(same owners).

I think these two restaurants are so much better and more romantic than most of the restaurants on the strip. I have eaten at TOW and Eiffel Tower and you cannot compare either one of them to Andre%26#39;s and Alize. They are not even in the same category. At TOW or ET- the views are great but I thought the food was just O.K. The food wasn%26#39;t horrible- but certainly not spectacular.

We really liked the Top of the World Restaurant last year, possibley not the best in LV but still very good

Fantastic views of LV all lit up after dark. Revolving restaurant turns 1 full revolution during your meal, nice pre fix as well with 3 or 4 course menu and wine pairings.http://www.topoftheworldlv.com/strat_din_tow_dm.asp

Id just get a cab to the base of the Strat, you dont want to mess on with the monorail or buses

You will also get free entry to the observtion deck - to check out the veiw and if your brave go on the rides

I have been to every restaurant mentioned except for Andre%26#39;s. I intend to try Andre%26#39;s on our next trip.

Top of the World is just ok. I often wonder if the people that recommend TOW over Alize and Andre%26#39;s have been to them. Alize is far above a better dining experience than TOW. In my opinion, TOW is a good restaurant and Alize is one of the best dining

experiences we have ever had. I would go with Andre%26#39;s or Alize. Happy Birthday!

Another vote for André%26#39;s or Alizé. Either would be a great choice. Go to Top of the World for cocktails and the view but it%26#39;s definitely not in the same league in terms of food.

EAG20 - we have eaten at Alize, and we thought it was just ok. We actually wouldn%26#39;t go back.

We%26#39;ve been to TOTW 4 times and have never been disappointed.

We would like to try Andre%26#39;s. But honestly I have never been so impressed with the sight of Las Vegas, as I was from the Top of the World.

I think for a special occasion, TOTW fits the bill. Everyone should experience that view just once in their lifetime of Vegas visits.

The dusk to darkness is the most beatiful sight to behold. I%26#39;ve never seen a sunset so magnified and glorious. Seriously.

I would imagine that TOTW during daylight would not be as impressive at all.

Alize was ok, but the view wasn%26#39;t impressive at all. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Although, I hate it when the waitstaff stand around and stare at your every move. That turned us off.

Top of the World is overpriced for what you get. I%26#39;d do Alize if view is important to you. I agree with both vp03 and blagger about Andre%26#39;s and Alize.I%26#39;d even do Voodoo Lounge over TOW.

We can agree to disagree. We had a window seat at Alize and thought the view was amazing. Our waitstaff was not overbearing. And I%26#39;m sorry, I just don%26#39;t think the food at TOW is in the same league as Alize. The view is great at TOW.

Never been to Alize or Andres so I can hardly recommend them can I, but we have however been to TOW and the meal we had was very good and the views stunning.

On the subject of TOW for cocktails - do you have to book or do you have to wait in line with the others going up to the observation deck.

Karen....You mentioned romantic restaurant, not what has the best view.

For a totally different feel step into an old-style Vegas atmosphere at Hugo%26#39;s Cellar at the 4 Queens downtown.

The special treatment starts from the time all ladies get a rose as you enter. The food is excellent, the service is ';best in Class'; and prices are reasonable.
