Promo Code Rental Car Company / Debit Cards

company I cant recall...however when we got there they wouldnt accept my debit card. That was the first time in about 6 or 7 years that that happened.

Anyway, I walked over to another company and they DID take debit cards, but of course I had no promo code and paid regular rate. And of course I dont remember THAT company either!

Can anyone supply a promo code for a rental company that takes debit cards? I know there are plenty of them out there. Thanks much in advance.

Try the web sights of travelzoo.com and breezenet.com. Then when you click onto a rental car company read the fine print. I am almost positive that Alamo takes debit cards. Yes, I just checked our reservation for Aug. 2nd and they do take either a major credit or debit card. They do mean like a debit card that is a Visa, etc. Those web sights have really good deals but I received my very lowest rate with Alamo through Costco because I am a member.

Alamo accepts debit cards with the visa or Mastercard logo if you have a round trip ticket. We have used a visa debit with them before, but not recently. You may want to call them directly and get details.

That gives you a percentage $$ amount off your rental of a compact car or higher, and a free extra driver and doesn%26#39;t require a coupon. (you put it in the advanced screen when you are booking online).

If you find a coupon or coupon code you can add that too for an additional amount off your rental. If you have the American Casino Guide, they have a couple coupons, one for a free day, and one for $20.00 off. They have to be 5 day rentals I think...but they are combinable with the above code and it brought our one week rental for Dec down to 114.00 including tax :-)

The first couple times I rented, Payless was one of the few that took debit cards but I don%26#39;t have any codes for them.

Oh I forgot to add that we did try our rental both ways, one using the contract ID and code I listed above (ID:430710 RATE CODE:BY) with the ACG coupons..and the other using the ACG contract ID and their coupons. We saved more using the other code, plus got an additional driver free. That helps especially if we are diving out to AZ or Utah and one of us gets tired.

Both codes expire Dec 31. The previous contract ID I gave: 430710 with the rate code BY has no expiration date. (It is a code that is a discount for Walmart shoppers and is usable by anyone). No restrictions on the length of the rental, but you have to rent a compact car or higher to get the included extra discount.

The fine print on that ID code says it may have blackout dates, has to be booked at least 24 hours in advance and is not combinable with other offers. May be great for a short rental though :-)

Many companies do accept debit cards but they have restrictions like requiring the customer to have round trip air tickets. Check the FAQ%26#39;s on the each company and be careful as they may want to charge a deposit to your debit card when they would%26#39;ve only done a hold on a credit card. Dollar requires some sort of credit check but they are vague as to what they are looking for and there is no way to do it in advance.
