Bill%26#39;s gamblin saloon

imperial palace

luxor.

need help with picking hotel

Bill%26#39;s is by far the best one on your list or any list. It has very clean rooms. It is right in the center of the strip and is an easy walk to many other casinos. The usually have some of the best prices also. Book your room right on there web site. If the price goes down after you book , you can call and get the better rate.

Hi there. You will have a blast in Vegas! How many nights are you planning to stay, and does the $1000-$1200 cover just the hotel, or hotel and airfare for two (big stretch)?

so you%26#39;re looking to spend approx $500 to $600 per person? how many nights are u tryng to stay?

weeknights are way cheaper than weekends- so you%26#39;ll get way better deal if u can go from sun to fri

check usair.com for vacation packages. i%26#39;ve booked my last couple vegas trips through them at amazing deals

luxor is a pretty good place to stay

i wasn%26#39;t impressed with imperial palace

if u can get mandalay bay or mgm for close to the same price as luxor....DO IT!!

How many nigthts? Weekends or weekdays?

None of these are my fav properties, but have not stayed at any. Luxor is too far south, NYNY is a bit south, and can be noisy from what I hear. IP great location, but level of comfort inn (NOT a bad thing). Bills great location, definite fans here, small casino, older property.

Have you looked at Ballys or Paris? Ballys is my fav for location, price, huge rooms, great views from south tower. Paris is small step up in price %26amp; quality. Treasure Island is another fav of mine.

Ballys will probably run a bit more than IP, around Bills price maybe. Paris/TI should be about same price as the other 2.

If you are going weekends, you will need to go w/ the lower priced properties.

bills does have a great location and clean rooms, but it may underwhelm you on your first trip. the casino hotel is very small and nothing like anything you%26#39;ve probably seen on tv. its a great hotel, but i%26#39;d recommend it on future trips.

of those listed, i%26#39;d go with nyny for your first trip. you%26#39;re at the end of the strip, but mgm, mandalay bay, luxor, monte carlo, and excalibur are all within walking distance. they have some good restaurants, and the hotel just gives you that vegas feel.

further, i%26#39;d rank them as follows (for a first trip)

nyny

luxor

bills

imperial palace

Bills is a travesty for a first trip. Not a full scale resort hotel.

Luxor is a great looking place, good for a first trip. I had no troukble walking up and down the strip from there. MGM with monorail stop is nearby. Great buffet and other restaurants nearby at Mandalay, connected.

Imperial Palace is well-worn. Do not eat there. If you smoke, might be OK. Check prices at Flamingo and Harrahs next door for a good hotel.

NYNY is OK, but better is available at the same price..Monte Carlo next door, MGM, Ballys are better options.

You could have 50 deg. highs in Feb, windy and cool is common then.

If you book a crummy place like IP, or limited like Bills, BE SURE to check for offers later at better places as the trip date approaches, you may find a better place with a good price offer on www.smartervegas.com

Its a tough choice

Bills is a low level hotel, and not much of a place. Great location

IP is also a low level hotel but has more going on then Bills, plus the IP has a pool at least. great location

NYNY would be the best out of the bunch but at present has some construction going on, a great fun casino with a decent location, crap pool

Luxor to far south and a boring place.

If I had no other choice it would be NYNY even with some costruction going on, I have spent many a day at hotels that at one time or another had some work going on and IMO it was never a big deal.

we are going 3 nights the 11th - 14th of feb. and plan on spending around 1000.00 to 1200.00 for flight and hotel.

Ditto other poster who recommended TI. Inexpensive (normally) and close to some excellent hotels and the Fashion Show Mall. Wynn, Venetian, Mirage, Bellagio, and Ceasars are relatively close. Perfect price and location for a first stay - IMO.

have you checked out monte carlo? great location, reasonable rates, nice quieter hotel casino.
