First time to Vegas - Mirage or MGM?

I am heading to Vegas for the first time this year and will be going with a group of friends. The majority of my friends will be staying at the Mirage. We have a Tower Deluxe room booked at the Mirage, but also have a Celebrity Spa Suite booked at the MGM Grand. The MGM is costing about $100 less than the Mirage (for the nicer room!).

Is it better to stay in the same place as my friends - will it matter?

Both Hotel are great, but if your friends are staying at MIRAGE I would defiantly stay there. MGM and Mirage aren%26#39;t that close to eachother, it will be much easier if you stay at Mirage. Check out the promo page for Mirage, you might be able to get a good deal, …atdmt.com/MGM/…

doesn%26#39;t matter to me if you don%26#39;t stay with your friends, I would pick MGM!

Oh, and because I have never been to Vegas, I don%26#39;t really know what I am looking for in a hotel other than something nice. I also love feeling like I got a bargain, which I do with the MGM room.

I would stay at MGM Grand. We went with a group of about 15 people a few years ago and we all stayed at different hotels and just picked a place to meet. It worked out great. You probably won%26#39;t be in your hotel the whole time and it%26#39;s so easy to get around in Vegas, I would save the money and stay at MGM in the nicer room.

Whatever you decide, have a great trip!!!

Depends on how much you like your friends? :)

Seriously. If you want some space it might be better to go with the MGM especially with the lovely Spa Suite being cheaper.

However, if the idea is to spend time with your friends 24/7 (well maybe not quite that much) then the Mirage is going to be your best bet.

Both hotels are not close. It will mount up the cost of meeting up with your friends but some people like their space.

I%26#39;ve never stayed in the Mirage Tower Deluxe so can%26#39;t comment but the Celebrity Spa Suite is big and the Spa itself is lovely.

Will I be able to use the Mirage pool? They the MGM pool?

Nope. You have to show your room key.

I agree, better to stay with your friends, otherwise you will have to factor in extra time to meet them via walking, taxi, bus, or the monorail. If the pool means anything to you, MGM is better. MGM is overall a bigger hotel and doesn%26#39;t really compare to Mirage. Mirage rooms have recently been updated and the Mirage is centered to the strip more so than MGM. Think about it this way, the money you would save at MGM would be spent in money on taxis or time by walking or taking the monorail. Also, it will be more fun to do things on a whim rather than have to plan to meet up somewhere, easier done if you are in the same hotel. Stay at the Mirage and have lots of fun!

What rate did you get on the Celebrity Spa Suite by the way?

There are some seriously good deals on the MGM Grand at the moment.

I would pick Mirage solely for its location. MGM is at south end of strip and granted there is plenty at that end, I like it much better being mid strip.
