Going to LV to get hitched...

Hi There

My Fiance and I are coming to Vegas in November to get married - can anyone offer any suggestions on the following:

** Best Chapel

** Hotel in Las Vegas - was thinking of the Bellagio

** We live in Brisbane, Australia and are flying direct to LA - where to go to book cheap flights from LA to LV

Is there anyone out there that has recently been married in Las Vegas... I would love to hear from you.

I%26#39;m getting married at the Graceland Chapel in September...there are pictures of it online

In terms of chapels and hotels ';best'; is a very subjective term. I can%26#39;t speak with any authority on chapels or indeed weddings in general so I%26#39;ll let others advise but regarding hotels you need to let us know what dates you%26#39;ll be in Vegas and (roughly) how much per night you%26#39;re happy to spend. Bellagio would be a fine choice but there%26#39;s several other options that could work equally well for you guys.

For flights your best bet is probably Southwest.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and have fun planning your trip! You%26#39;ll get lots of great advice here...... :-)

My wife and I have always operated on the theory of working out how much you%26#39;re willing to spend per night, then see what%26#39;s available. Check the hotel reviews here, then pick which seems to be best! We only really shower and sleep in our room, so that works for us.

As a non-guest in any hotel, you can visit any part of the hotel, other than the rooms, which tend to have security at the lifts, etc. That told me that you can spend lots of $%26#39;s per night to stay in Bellagio, etc, but you%26#39;d have access to the full hotel facilities, regardless of which hotel you%26#39;d booked, so it may be worth saving a bit of money, by getting a ';superior'; room in an ';inferior'; hotel.

Or maybe that%26#39;s just us!

Pool areas are for a hotel%26#39;s guests only. This also applies to spas in certain properties.

We got married at the Little Church of the West... It was lovely. It is the oldest chapel on the strip.. very cute and quiant. The service was very personal even though my husband and I were the only ones there.. they do a tape for you to keep. It is across the road from Mandalay Bay..

The Bellagio is very nice and in a great location.

Apologies, Blagger.

What I mean was the hotel area. You may be staying at the Bellagio, but it doesn%26#39;t control who visits your hotel, casino, restaurants, etc, so you pay the extra money for a smaller room in an upmarket hotel. I visited the Grand Canyon last year, and the couple who shared our helicopter couldn%26#39;t wait to tell us they were in the Bellagio - quite pretentious, I felt! As it turned out, they didn%26#39;t have the free access to the spa we had, their room was substantially smaller, and we had a high floor, with a fantastic strip view, all for less than a third of what they paid.

A room%26#39;s a room at the end of the day - as I said, a shower and a bed is what%26#39;s important.

We too got married at the little chapel of the West and it was the right choice. Bellagio is lovely.

the book NEON NUPTIALS is excellent and covers the LV wedding market.

I am sorry I disagree about Neon Nuptials being good I thought it was very poor and a complete waste of money.

I can not say what I really think about it or how I think some of the informtaion was got as its my opinion and may not be right.

but I can see no value in this book what so ever and I dont think it helped us plan our wedding one little bit.

Caesars Chapels are very nice I know a few people who have gotten married there...us included but we did the Caesars in Tahoe.

Also the Bellagio has very nice Chapels check out the hotels websites on both to check them out they even have packages already priced out for you.

Cheers!!!
