Bally's or Harrah's???

please advise asap, we are booked at harrahs but since it is a sister property of ballys i think i can still change it in time. im nervous after reading some of the reviews on harrahs. does anyone think one is better than the other? and for what reasons? is one cleaner than the other?

Bally's or Harrah's???

I%26#39;d personally change to Bally%26#39;s based upon great central location and size of rooms. Cleanliness won%26#39;t be an issue at either hotel.

Bally's or Harrah's???

I%26#39;ve never stayed at Harrah%26#39;s, but a friend of mine liked it. Another friend of mine and his fiancee stayed at Bally%26#39;s and I saw their room, it was OK, nothing incredible.

From what I see, Harrah%26#39;s and Bally%26#39;s are both very equal. Both have good location (near each other, too) and both are reasonably priced, kind of middle-of-the-road, and from what I hear neither one has any great pool at all.

My recommendation would be a third Harrah%26#39;s property (Harrah%26#39;s owns Bally%26#39;s and this third property) - the Flamingo. It%26#39;s right between Harrah%26#39;s and Bally%26#39;s. The rooms are decent, a little older than the other two, but here%26#39;s why I recommend it:

- Location - right at center strip (but the location of the other two is the same anyway)

- Price - reasonable (again, like the other two)

- Views/Windows - all the rooms have these GREAT floor to ceiling and wall to wall windows which are AWESOME with a strip view or even without it. They are heavily tinted so people can%26#39;t see in too easily but you can see outside great. At night it%26#39;s easier for people to see inside when you have a light on but you can just draw the curtains when you need your privacy.

- Pool - the Flamingo has one of the top 10 (some would say a top 5) pools in all of Las Vegas.

So that%26#39;s what I recommend, go with the Flamingo. Again, all 3 are Harrah%26#39;s properties, for what it%26#39;s worth.

Good luck!

If pool is important to you, I would go with Flamingo because they have the best pool. As far as everything else goes, I like Ballys the best. They are connected to Paris and right across the street from the Bellagio. Their casino is more laid back than the others which I like, the hotel and casino are easy to get around in and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms in the north tower are huge, very nicely furnished and extremely clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are covered in granite and nice size. The south towers are outdated but have outstanding views of the strip. And honestly, it%26#39;s just my opinion, but I think the public areas at Ballys seem cleaner and a little nicer than the ones at Flamingo and Harrahs, just IMO!!! Anyway, I honestly think any of the 3 I mentioned would be fine!

Whatever you decide, have a wonderful trip!!!

While Harrah%26#39;s has a more active casino, personally I think Bally%26#39;s is a bit more upper scale.

While both properties dont have a great pool area Bally%26#39;s has the edge.

Both have great locations, the edge goes to Bally%26#39;s

As you know you also get Paris thrown in seeing its attached.

I would choose Bally%26#39;s but Harrah%26#39;s has an excellent casino atmosphere and a more elderly group of patrons.

They are both good places to stay, very clean rooms, very comfy beds. You can%26#39;t go wrong with either of them IMO. IMO here is the pros to each place, Bally%26#39;s rooms are a little larger %26amp; it%26#39;s connected to Paris. Harrahs has a better vibe casino, better places to eat, Starbuck coffee, great nightlife like the dueling pianos, Carnival Court, Toby Keith Bar %26amp; Grill for live music. They both have simple pools nothing fancy. As other noted that Flamingo has the better pool, they have 4 pools %26amp; 1 adult pool. It all depends on your preference %26amp; what you consider for it to be a nice place to stay. Here is the website to check it out %26amp; compare to see what appeals to you more. Have a great time in wherever you decide to stay.

www.harrahs.com

on top click on LV then on the hotels to check out the pool, rooms, dining, Hotel overview.

Check out the Flamingo. Did some looking around on this site and reading comments and concerns. The GO Rooms at the Flamingo seem like the best option. They are updated with new age decor, middle of strip with monorail right behind the property.....we used a code thru smartervegas.com and saved quite a bit of money. Check it out.

have fun,

I have always been surprised that Ballys almost always is cheaper than Harrahs. We have stayed at Ballys many times %26amp; have never been inclined to check out Harrahs.

We like Ballys for price, location, huge rooms, great views from south tower. Anyone can go to Flamingo pool after 2PM.

Both places are good, but I personally prefer Ballys. It%26#39;s a little more updated.

We%26#39;ve stayed at both places and both places are fine. I lean more towards Ballys though because the rooms are bigger and i like the casino .
