hi, bf, yes right now im really in cheap-skate mode.

mgm may also be in the runing..

any suggestions

I would go with Bally%26#39;s for the price, as you said it%26#39;s on the strip, %26amp; it%26#39;s in a great location.

Location, location, location...Bally%26#39;s...

';we like the stripview and the location of Bally%26#39;s';.

You didn%26#39;t say what you liked about Orleans except the price. For $21 more a night I would stay at Bally%26#39;s without thinking twice. Half the fun of Vegas is being on the strip.

I%26#39;d go with Bally%26#39;s myself.

If it%26#39;s for more than 3 nights and you have a car, I%26#39;d say go with the Orleans. Actually, with the savings you could pay for a car rental, pretty much.

If you were going with no car, then Bally%26#39;s, since it%26#39;s center strip and easy to get around on foot with an occasional cab/deuce/monorail ride.

If you%26#39;re going for 5+ days, it%26#39;s a $100+ savings, that%26#39;s pretty good. That%26#39;s a dinner for two, or even two or three dinners for two, depending where you eat. Or another $100 you can gamble with. Anyway, I think you get the point - I%26#39;m sure you can find better ways to spend $100 than on a hotel room.

Tripper I am always looking for the best price and work from there with location being the next priority so Strip will always win off strip but here is another option.

Have you been to the Venitian on any prior trips to Vegas and signed up for their Grazie Card? If you have and can find your card give them a call, they have been giving out comp rooms by mail to bring you to Vegas. Most people have received a flyer in the mail but some just called and got the offer over the phone.

Wont hurt to ask!

P.s. I never stayed there and gamble on a budget and still got the comp rooms!

I hate to be a naysayer, but your $50 room is probably going to be in the worst possible location. However, you can upgrade to a stripview room for only $50 more. Be careful.

Its the luck of the draw - I just had 4 days at Bally%26#39;s on the $50 deal. For asking nicely followed by the good old $20, I got a North Tower refurbished larger room (two vanities) - Room 1410.

The view wasn%26#39;t brilliant but I could press my face to the window and catch the right hand side of the fountains! But for comfort it was excellent.
