Will Venetain disappoint compared to Wynn?

For my birthday earlier this year, I had 1 night comp%26#39;d at Wynn. I loved that hotel. Everything about it was beautiful. Then, we had 2 nights comp%26#39;d at Paris. Even though I like that casino, the rooms themselves felt like we were staying at a Howard Johnson.

Now, I just booked 3 nights comp%26#39;d at Venetian. Their standard Luxury Suites. I already know I like the casino and nightlife there. How are the rooms and pool compared to Wynn? Judging by the photos on the internet, it seems to me in 3rd place after Wynn and Bellagio. Would that be accurate?

Will Venetain disappoint compared to Wynn?

We stayed at the Venetian last year and had no problems. It%26#39;s a beautiful hotel and the service was great. I had no complaints at all. I%26#39;ve never stayed at the Wynn so i can%26#39;t compare it.

We also stay at Paris every year and I%26#39;d like to say that those rooms in no way resemble a howard johnsons. We also get comped there and the service is fine.

Will you be happy anywhere other than the Wynn?

This year were staying at Palazzo and Paris .

Both hotels are great! my question to you is, how do you get comp%26#39;d a room?

Thanks!

you might be happier comparing the Palazzo to the Wynn -- that said, I do think the Wynn is the best hotel in town.

Both hotels should please you, The Wynn does have better pool grounds. Both have tremendous restaurants, std room versus std room IMO goes to Venetian. Both have excellent spas.

I actually like the V better but thats my opinion, more to do at the V.

Wynn is a 4-5 star property and first class hotel from start to finish.

Venetian is a 3 1/2 star cheesy, over the top facsimile. Venetian has MUCH more in common with Paris than it does with Wynn.

Just depends what your looking for.

Robert Greene, I think that%26#39;s a very unfair assessment of the Venetian. What in Las Vegas is NOT a cheesy facsimile of something else? I%26#39;ve stayed at Wynn and while it might not technically have a theme like many of the hotels, if it%26#39;s supposed to closely reflect Steve Wynn%26#39;s own personal taste, well, it looks a little too colorful and wild...yes, I would say cheesy...for my taste.

I also didn%26#39;t notice the service being any more special at the Wynn than other places (but we%26#39;re also not high maintenance).

I%26#39;ve also stayed at Bellagio and I%26#39;ve always loved their rooms, fountains, casino, pools...but it%26#39;s an over the top facsimile of an Italian Lake District Palazzo, too.

I love the Venetian and Palazzo rooms - I think they are well laid out and comfortable. I didn%26#39;t think the Wynn rooms were anything special either visually (I actually actively disliked the dark walls and white furniture) or ergonomically.

You%26#39;re not decorating your own home - you%26#39;re in Las Vegas, and cheesy and over the top is part of the fun.

Robert

I assume you have stayed at both the Venetian and the Wynn ?

mpo

The Venetian is much nicer than the Paris Casino...

I doubt you%26#39;ll be dissapointed by the Venetian. As was said, the standard rooms are better then Wynn%26#39;s standard rooms. Pools slightly in Wynns favor. Restaurants slightly better in V. I like the overall ambience in both.

I bet Robert Green Lost some money gambling at the V, you know thew old...

Dont stay here, I lost a lot of money in there casino. All the while the person dropped about $10 playing penny slots LOL
