Car rental

Hi all,

Headed to LV Aug 19 and getting in really late (1 a.m.ish). Don%26#39;t wanna deal with getting a rental car that night. Don%26#39;t some of the hotels have rental agencies? I%26#39;m at the Flamingo. How do the rates compare? I%26#39;ve been doing searches but not having much luck.

Car rental

Take a cab to the hotel, then to the airport rental facility the next day.

Cabbing to the hotel and then to the facility is worth the money in order to get to bed sooner and easier, and not be worn out the next day.

Cutting one day off the rental period will reduce the expense.

You will get a better rate for airport rental, and not have to pay for a cab when returning for the flight home

Car rental

Many of the Hotels rent cars, DO book before hand, I find the rates about the same, I always get my car at the Hotel now a day. You will pay for a cab to the Hotel but its fast and easy. Im like you, no more wasting time at the airport or rental agency.

I believe Budget is located in the Flamingo.

Most of the hotels have rental car desks. Flamingo has Hertz but others have Dollar, Budget, etc. If you look at the car rental sites they will list the hotels. The rates are almost always higher when renting from a hotel rather than the airport. Also- the desks at the hotels are not opened 24 hours a day. Some close at 4 or 5 and close an hour for lunch. I know Dollar allows you to rent at the hotel and return it to the aiport without any additional charge. Once you have made your reservation- keep checking the site. If the rates drop you can contact them and they will give you the lower rate. I have done that as many as three times for one reservation.
