ATV / Quad bike tours

Wondering which tour would be best as there are several options - looking at the hidden valley to Primm and back or the Eldorado canyon mine field tour or red Rock

What do you reckon, both about $180 pretty much all business charge the same, well the ones I found do

Any suggestion welcome if anybody has been on any of these

ATV / Quad bike tours

its a fun adventure but do bring clothing that you expect to get very dusty and dirty. and a large plastic bag to put them in for your return flight. do recommend long sleeve shirt, and some gloves.

Have not tried one of the trips, but do own two ATV%26#39;s and bunch of dirt bikes.

Just about anywhere you go out can be fun on an ATV. I personally own a dirt bike myself but the tours that go out to Hidden Valley and Eldorado Canyon are great and offer some cool views.

There is also some dune buggy tours that are out in the Nellis Dunes area. Some folks also have a dune buggy tour that ventures in the Valley of Fire. Of course those can get a bit pricey.

Depends on your budget, how long you want to be out, and where you want to go. Good luck and I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll have fun whichever you choose.

does any go all year round??

Yes the Primm trip goes all year.

I have been in both August and January.

In August it was over 100*

In January it was ummmmmmm Freezing.

But what did i expect in winter in the desert.

was it worth the money?

Thanks guys , I think iits worth it, decided to do the valley of fire as its slightly shorter and less technical than the others (only been on a quad twice and the wife never has) also get the added bonus of a trip through valeey of fire so we kill 2 birds with one stone.

I definitely think you have made the right decision Janzbro.

Both my Wife and I had been on ATV tours before in Namibia and New Zealand but even then I still found it quite tricky to control the bikes on the VoF tour initially. They do a twenty minute training exercise and allow everybody to get used to the bikes and once everybody is comfortable, they head off on the trails. There are some quite steep climbs in places but the majority of the trails are reasonably flat allowing for some extra speed to be built up.

I think the fact you get the bonus of the drive through the VoF State Park is reason enough to do this tour. It%26#39;s an awesome setting. Not quite Namibian sand dunes, but still very good.

Well i did it 3 years running,so Yes it was worth it.

As i have already said..

If you want a gentle scenic ATV ride, then do the Valley of Fire trip.

Although you dont actually go through the VOF.

More like around part of it.

If you want a fast exciting ATV trip, the Primm one is a must.

And BTW....i had never ridden an ATV in my life.

And i dont own a car and have never driven one Ever.

So if i can do it...it must be easy.

True, If it was just me I%26#39;d do Primm but my wife doesn%26#39;t fancy 4 hours ride time on her first outing.

Im aware also that the VOF tour doesnt actually go in the valley of fire (just near it) but you drive through it in the mini bus on the way back and stop for Photos ops, so I think that seals the deal, we will do Primm the next time we visit.
