Grand canyon tour advice please

Hi,

I%26#39;m travelling to Las Vegas in late September and want to take a tour of the Grand Canyon (doesn%26#39;t everyone). I have read some of the reviews and looked on a lot of tour websites and am really confused. What I am after is a tour that spends as much time at the canyon as possible, I don%26#39;t want to do the skywalk, I only have a day for this. Does anyone have advice as to which is the least crowded tour company, or a company that only takes small groups but is reputable. I liked the idea of going by helicopter (just for the speed in getting there) but from what I can see they only go to the west rim which isn%26#39;t part of the national park. So if I have to go on a bus then that is fine as well, as long as it is a smaller bus. Any pointers would be great. Thanks in advance for your help.

Unless you drive there yourself,or stay overnight, most tours only spend a short time at the Canyon.

Personally i would recommend the plane/bus trip to the South rim.

It lasts around 8 hours, with a couple of those at the Canyon.

The South rim has much better views than the West without a doubt.

You may want to consider this company. They have small groups and it says they spend 3 hours at the canyon.
