flying southwest

Hi everyone!

Just printed my boarding pass out and I am in section A31. Is this good or bad, will I still have a chance to get a window seat?

Thanks

Your not ';in'; section A31. They dont have assigned seating. I think that means your 31st to board.

Group A is the first to board and I think 31 is the last section in group A though. You can still get a window seat.

That is pretty good.

It dont just say 31 is reads A31. I know that when you are in A you are one of the first to load but what does 31 mean, not sure if that is good or not.

Okay thanks alot!!

They call like A 1-10, then 11-20, then 21-30 or whatever. Then go to B and then C.

Does this actually work though?

Or do schlubs just cut in front regardless of what # they have.. They just think ';oh, i have A'; ';my turn'; and cut in line. And im sure the attendant wouldnt kick em out of line.

I think it is very good- while it sounds like there will be 30 people before you, that is not really true. Southwest ';reserves '; A1-15 to give to people who paid their higher Business Class fare no matter when they check in- they also get ( yippee) a free drink. Since that fare is quite a bit higher , almost no one ever books it. On our last SWA flights, only 1 person had 1-15 on one leg and only 3 on the other. Likely that you%26#39;ll be in the first 20 or so to board - and there are 60 window seats- so I%26#39;d say you%26#39;ll be fine - and will be even if all numbers 1-30 show up before you, which is not likely. Have nice flight with your window view!

And no cutting in by schlubs takes place. I believe at one point they allow families with kids to be seated, but I think that is after your A group. You really will be fine!

Families with kids get seated AFTER the ';a'; group?
