Bellagio - Spa Tower or Regular Room?

Ok. Staying at the Bellagio.

We are currently booked in a deluxe (regular) room in the main tower at the hotel.

I emailed the hotel and asked them if we could get a lake view. They advised me that they have a partial lake view room in the SPA TOWER.

Is it a good idea or bad idea to switch from the main tower to the spa tower?

Bellagio - Spa Tower or Regular Room?

We have stayed 3 times at the Bellagio and always had a Spa Tower room partial lakeview. We decided on the Spa Tower because at the time the rooms were newer. We have never stayed in the main tower so cannot comment on this. The Spa Tower seems to be very quiet. We have never experienced any noise from our neighbours and no noise from people walking in the corridoor. The bedroom I think is the same size as in the main tower. However the bathroom does have two sinks, whereas in the main tower I believe only one. If we went again to the Bellagio we would again stay only in the Spa Tower. If you want any more info let me know and I will assist you further.

We%26#39;ll be making our 8th trip to Bellagio this Sept. First time we had a regular room in the Spa Tower. We loved it and it had its own elevator to the pool area. It did not have a partial lakeview, but I can comment that it had a view of THE MOST beautiful sunrises one could ever see. It also overlooked the pool area.

Next time we did a lakeview in the old tower and we loved it even more. We%26#39;ve asked for a lakeview in the old tower ever since. The room was older, but it was still just as nice. No complaints there at all.

This is for our wedding/honeymoon and we want it to be special.

I was advised by the Bellagio that they are totally booked up for their full lake view rooms in the main tower, which is why were are concidering the spa tower with a partial view.

They are charging us $30 extra per night for the spa tower.

Basically, i just want to know if the rooms are significantly different, and if the view will be worth the extra $30 per night (if we dont go for the partial lake view, we%26#39;ll be requesting - but not garunteed - a pool view deluxe room in the main tower).

Thanks

The rooms in the Spa Tower are lovely. Kingsize bed and floor to ceiling window. As previously. said the bathroom is also bigger. The partial lakeview room is great. You can still see the fountains and when you put the television on Channel 31 you also hear the music and watch the fountains dancing. The $30 is well worth it. We paid $50 extra per night. You can always ask , as it is your honeymoon whether they could upgrade you to a Salone suite. This is a larger room which has a large window in the bathroom and two floor to ceiling windows in the suite. Also it is at the end of the corridoor.

Just to clarify, the rooms in the main tower and the rooms in the Spa tower were deorated at Exactly the same time(early 2004). The drywall, wallpaper, lighting fixtures, furniture, beds/bedding, carpet, T.V.%26#39;s, minibar, electronics, wall art, ect. is identical in BOTH towers. Also the bathroom is NOT larger in the spa tower. There is about 4 square feet of extra counter space(with a sink) in the spa tower. The floor square footage is the same in both towers bathrooms.

I have stayed in both towers. It%26#39;s strange that Bellagio is charging extra money per night to stay in the Spa tower becuase after the Spa tower opened in 2004 they were not charging extra until recently?

Actually I just called Bellagio and got some clarification on the rates for both towers. First of all there are only partial lake view rooms in the Spa tower becuase the spa tower itself is off to the side of the fountains so only a partial view is visual becuase of the location of where the spa tower was built. Second- If a non-lakeview room is $179 in the main tower on any given night then the non-partial lakeview room in the Spa Tower is always the same price as the Main Tower. So the Spa Tower non-partial lake view roon would be $179 also. For the lakeview room(Main tower) and the partial lakeview room(Spa tower) it is $30 extra per night for the Spa tower partial lakeview room and $50 extra per night for the Main tower lake view room. Why the difference in price? Becuase from the Main tower you are able to have a full unobstructed view of the fountains($50 extra)and from the Spa Tower you can ONLY see a partial view of the fountains($30 extra) becuase of the location where the Spa tower was built.

One other thing the Main tower was built in late 1998 and the Spa tower was built in early 2004. Now you could say that the rooms are newer in the Spa tower becuase of this but you would only be talking about the concrete slab underneath the carpet/carpet padding and the concrete walls underneath the new dry-wall. The marble in the Spa Tower bathrooms is the only real cosmetic part of the room that is newer in he Spa tower rooms.

I hope this clears up any misconceptions.

We have stayed in the main tower - pool view, mountain view, lakeview -- and spa tower (pool view). We prefer the spa tower because we don%26#39;t have to walk through the casino to get to the elevators. When we%26#39;ve stayed in the main tower, beside the ';walking through the casino'; issue, the elevators banks are always SO CROWDED for the main tower.

Main tower is closer to the coffee in the morning.

Spa Tower closer to the pool and also Jean Phillipe Pattiserie.!!

Wow, thanks for all the info guys! This is great!

I think that for us it%26#39;s important to have that LAS VEGAS experience...e.g. we want to see the strip from our hotel room.

So, we%26#39;ve decided that the partial lake view is what we want.

Thanks all for the info!
