We are going to LV at the end of August for 10days. We have been many times before but never at this time of the year. I realise that it is going to be mega hot but will there be mosquitoes feeding off me as well as the casinos?
Do mosquitoes like Las Vegas?
We have mosquitoes and chiggers here in Kansas but don%26#39;t think I%26#39;ve seen (or felt) any in Vegas.
Do mosquitoes like Las Vegas?
Mosquitos require damp humid conditions in order to survive. Deserts are the worst possible environments for them so they%26#39;re non-existent in and around Vegas.
No, they don%26#39;t like Las Vegas.... not even a little.
Mosquitos dont like Vegas because ....
They can never get good cocktail service.
Theres too many kids.
Taxi Drivers always take the tunnel on them
Wow - I am so impressed with the speed of the responses!!! Here I am in England sending off my question and whooosh - you guys are right there with your answers. Thank you all - and great news about the mozzies. We have holidayed in Florida a few times and couldn%26#39;t believe the size of the mozzies there! So I rest assured that just the casinos will be taking my blood!!
If you are staying in the tourist areas you do not have to worry about moquitoes! I have spend my summers there and I never saw one so you can leave your insect repellent at home. It is nothing- absolutely nothing- like Florida. I am in FL right now and I wouldn%26#39;t think of walking out the door at night without using insect repellent! They would eat me alive!
Actually, some misquitoes have been found in Vegas but not in your area.

Make that ';mosquitoes.';
I love, love, love that there are no mosquitos in Vegas. Here, you can%26#39;t hardly go outdoors of an evening without almost being carted off by our big ole ';mozzies';. LOVE that term for mosquitos also...lol.
There was talk recently of making them the NJ State bird.
Just have to be carful with the killer bees LOL
