My First time in Vegas!!! And I'm choosing NYNY!

I will be going to Vegas in Mid-august.

Is it wise to choose NYNY???

Its going to be my first time in Vegas!

Its never been easy for me to decide on Hotels.

I love clean and centrally located hotels.

And maybe newer hotels.

It took me a very long time to decide on NYNY...

But after looking at the Map the Vegas Strip...

NYNY seem to be at the far end of the Strip.

And I figured that my husband and I are probably going to spend some time in Wynn and Venetian...

Coz they have too casinos in Asia / Macau... which we frequent.

I know walking is very common.

But is it far to walk from NYNY to Venetian (for eg.)

How long do we have to walk?

(I NEED TO KNOW THIS!)

Is the casino good in NYNY?

Or any good casinos near NYNY?

I am excited!!!

My First time in Vegas!!! And I'm choosing NYNY!

NYNY is ok but has a crap pool and there is some construction going on, some of the rooms can be small.

I would not walk it but im sure many do.

it%26#39;S 2.15 miles from NYNY to Venetian.

Casino was always a fun casino at NYNY, dont know at this point how its changed.

MGM is a great casino, huge but nice.

What made you decide on NYNY???

My First time in Vegas!!! And I'm choosing NYNY!

Not a good choice ... casino is under renovation and you will not want to walk to venetian/wynn in the August heat unless you have a death wish. I would suggest Mirage or T.I. to be more centrally located.

Hi

Here is a strip walking map, hope it helps.

I know it%26#39;s awful when people rubbish your choice but I have to agree with everyone else. Not the best idea and if you plan on going to the Venetian its quiet a trek. Also heard about the construction and the possible loss of the Central Park theme.

I%26#39;ve stayed at Treasure Island in the past and would recommend it to a first timer. It has a great location for visiting the Wynne and Venetian also it%26#39;s not huge so no getting lost or confused on where you are. The pool isn%26#39;t the greatest but The Coffee Shop is a great place fro breakfast and the breakfast buffet is decent too.

If you want a themed hotel (TI no longer really has one) then Paris is located right in the middle of the strip.

Both TI and Paris have some renovated rooms so request one when you check-in.

I don%26#39;t think the heat is going to be much of an issue for someone coming from the high temperatures and humidity of Singapore?

Jude. NYNY is a nice hotel, very well themed but there is construction going on at the moment which might spoil your visit to Vegas. I would certainly consider the MGM Grand which has some excellent August deals at the moment and is also on the Monorail which will help you greatly for getting around the strip.

cLEAN AND CENTRAL

Go to Planet Hollywood.

To be North strip by Wynn and Venetian..stay at Flamingo, Mirage, TI, or Venetian

If you like pools and clean nice rooms, go to MGM. The monorail will take you to Harrahs, close to Venetian.

Assuming Wynn is not in your budget, I would 2nd the recommendation of TI. It is within easy walking distance of both Wynn %26amp; Venetian, and is clean %26amp; comfortable. Also you might like that it is a very easy walk to the Fashion Show Mall for shopping.

I would also check out Mirage. It is in the same area, a little nicer than TI and right now very attractively priced.

NYNY is my favorite. We have always been treated very well at NYNY. The rooms are always nice and clean. To get to the Venetian you could walk, or cross over to the MGM and hop on the monorail.

NYNY is not a good choice of hotels for what you are looking for. Across the street is the godawful MGM and old tired Trop. No reason to go anywhere near any of those places.

Mirage or TI would be much better hotel choices and should not cost a lot more. Much better hotels with much better location.
