Best shows to see for Mother & Daughter trip in August

We are going to LV in August and it%26#39;ll be my mom%26#39;s 1st time.

I%26#39;ve already seen Mystere, Carrot Top and some impersonator show at Stratosphere (which wasn%26#39;t that good) so I%26#39;m looking for a couple of new ones that my mom and I will both enjoy!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

LOVE would be a great show for you and your Mom to go and see. I recently went to see Bette Midler and if you like her it was a good show too.

I would recommend Love. Although you have seen Mystere- Love is totally unlike any other Cirque show I have seen ( I have seen Love, Ka, O and Mystere). The emphasis is on the music and everything about it is fantastic- sound, costumes, sets, etc. It is the only show I would consider seeing again. You don%26#39;t have to buy the most expensive tickets- I sat in the very last row and I was happy with the seat- I could see everything. You don%26#39;t have to be a Beatles fan to enjoy the show.

Jersey Boys is another show I would recommend.

I think Mama Mia would be a great mother-daughter show!

I would recommend either LeReve or O, both were very good. Both shows I saw with my sister who is like my mom and we enjoyed them both.

I would also recommend Love. My mom and I saw it together in April and we adored it. We laughed, we cried and were awed by it. It%26#39;s a beautiful show. I also think Mamma Mia might be a good one. I haven%26#39;t seen the play, but my mom and I just saw the movie together and we loved it. We both said we wouldn%26#39;t have wanted to see it with anyone else.

About Mamma Mia- I saw the play and I saw the movie today. The play is sssoooo much better!

When I went to Las Vegas with my mother in May we seen KA. I actually picked out that show and paid for it, so she had no choice. :) My mother ended up loving the show. She almost bought a crab stuffed animal on the way out because she liked that character.

We need to know your tastes - the fact that your%26#39;e a mother %26amp; daughter is irrelevant, your tastes are.

I hate Mama Mia - and am both a mother a daughter-gender and party compostion does not define what someone will like.

Why not let her explore the show%26#39;s websites and get a feel for the shows and give you feedback if you%26#39;re unsure?

Some shows I, and my daughters, have enjoyed

Jersey Boys

Phantom

Carrot Top - you don%26#39;t say if you liked him or not

O

George Wallace

Cher

Bette

Elton John

Penn %26amp; Teller

and the list goes on - you have so many choices, it%26#39;s overwhelming

I agree with the previous message writer. The Circue du Solei show at the Mirage Hotel (The Beatles LOVE Show) is great. Also, we just saw Bette Midler%26#39;s show at Ceasars Palace, and highly recommend it. Both shows sell out for every performance, so you should buy your tickets in advance if you choose either to go to either one.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Unfortunately its pretty much up to me to find the shows as my mom doesn%26#39;t use a computer.

I%26#39;ll probably take her to Carrot Top again for sure (I know I can get 1/2 price tickets near the coke bottle) because I know she%26#39;ll like that.

Has anyone seen both ';Le Reve'; (or however you spell it) and ';O';? Which one did you like better?
