Nothing in walking distance. They have a shuttle during the day to the strip. The outlet mall is down the way, but not walking distance.

Not walking distance, but several gas stations and convenience stores close by taking a car.

Do not stay at South Point Unless if you planning to rent a car, or spens $$$$ on taxi

There is a Shuttle to the strip, but not 24 hours a day

where does the shuttle let you out at the strip?

Go to GOOGLE - select MAPS , enter 9777 Las Vegas Blvd South las vegas as the address and then you can click on %26#39;street view %26#39; and actually pan around the area like you were standing in front of the place.

The shuttle is between Mandalay Bay and South Point, and we%26#39;ve discussed here that it is only for people who have room reservations at either hotel...but we also had people post that it depended on the driver since other people also got rides. So that%26#39;s about all I can offer about the shuttle info. since we always have a rental car.
