Of all the rotten luck....

T-15 days and counting and guess who%26#39;s lab puppy pulled her down the porch steps last night and sprained her ankle? Grrr.....this better heal in time!!! I%26#39;ll be on crutches for at least a week, but I swear...if I have to rent a scooter when I get there....I%26#39;M GOING!!! Maybe I%26#39;ll get preferred boarding at the airport....

Of all the rotten luck....

I feel your pain-literally! I am so sorry this happened to you.

Do get crutches or a scooter but don%26#39;t cancel the trip! A few days before I was to go to Argentina this summer- a 9 hour flight- I fell and cracked my tailbone. Sitting was/is extremely painful and the doctor said it might be months before I can sit without pain. But I went anyway and I am glad I did- better to be in pain in Argentina( or anywhere else) than at home when you are on vacation!

Good luck to you and I hope your trip is enjoyable as mine was! Just grin and bear it if need be. Ouch!

Of all the rotten luck....

I went with my best friend a few years back less than five weeks after she had suregery to reconnect his achilles tendon. She was in an immoblizer boot with aid of crutches. She was a trooper. I tried to get her to rent a scooter but she wanted nothing to do with that. The only difference was we had to stop at more casinos so she could rest. Oh punish me!! Have a great time and good luck!

I guess I should have checked for errors before posting..sorry

Youll be fine. Do some contrasts with your ankle, its worked miracles for me in the past - two buckets, one with ice water, one with lukewarm water (not too hot). Start with the ice water (dont fidget around, let it get numb. Itll hurt to begin with, but find something to distract yourself) and soak for 15 mins. Swap to warm water for 15 mins. do this for an hour a couple times an evening. more throughout the day if you can. I swear by it!

steph-this shouldn%26#39;t be the trip breaker- a sprain can heal pretty well in two weeks- just don%26#39;t overdo it. Should it still be a problem just promise you won%26#39;t drive the scooter ';under the influence'; jan

As long as you have to stay off the foot, sit down and tune in to Nat Geo and watch a few Cesar Millan shows

steph and VP03, you think you have it bad. But, this is a quote by really mature individual:

....IF MY BODY WERE A CAR...

If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking.

about trading it in for a newer model.

I%26#39;ve got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull, but that%26#39;s not the worst of it.

My headlights are out of focus and it%26#39;s especially hard to see things up close.

My traction is not as graceful as it once was.

I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather.

My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins.

It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed.

My fuel rate burns inefficiently.

But here%26#39;s the worst of it --

Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter.....

either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires.';

Oh No!! That%26#39;s terrible!! Take it easy for they next 15 days~!

HH,

That%26#39;s hilarious!!!!

Soak foot in ice cold water bucket and while you are doing that think of yourself in Vegas @ your fav pool in vegas.
