We%26#39;ve looked at the Wynn, Bellagio, Venetian, MGM, Mirage and THEHotel and read reveiws etc but stil cant decide! As its for my birthday want it to be special and have read sooooo many reviews dont want to be disapppointed, can anyone help who%26#39;s been to some of these?? Nice/not too over crowded pool would be good bonus too.

Thanks!!

Wynn/Bellagio or Venetian??

wynn

venetian

bellagio

in that order - for me.

First, the B has gone downhill in recent years, it is FULL of KIDS, and the customer service just not up to par. yes, it does have the fountains - IF your were absolutley guaranteeing a fountain view suite, maybe. if not a fountain view room take it off the list.

wynn my fav right now. venetian a close second. we usually stay at venetian about every third trip since we like the garden pool, and some of the restaurants. we play where we stay and like to eat where we stay - easy to do at both wynn and venetian. if you are golfing at wynn the chocie is obvious. spamalot a great show, as is phantom, if you know you will see either of those than that might help decide.

you can%26#39;t go wrong with either, wynn has less kids, although V has very few.

we also like four seasons and TheHotel, don%26#39;t like that end of strip as much.

Wynn/Bellagio or Venetian??

I vote for Bellagio. We are going back in Sept for the 4th time. Exellent food choices; casino, pool, location and comp system.

We did not care for Wynn - too many families with babies. Too many glitches (computer system, housekeeping). Terrible comp system; horrendous service at the restaurants; everything is overpriced. However, Spamalot was excellent.

2nd favorite would be Caesars. Although we would consider trying THEhotel or Venetian.

bridgefan, the customer service is wonderful at B, perhaps you just had a bad experience with it at some time. Blagger%26#39;s trip report the other day is proof of the PR at Bellagio.

I rank them Wynn beauty and elegance, Bellagio for location and Venetian if you want overly cheesey.

1. Bellagio

2. Wynn

3. Mirage

4. THEHotel

5. Venetian

LAST By Far and Doesn%26#39;t Belong On this List. MGM

I meant customer service, not PR..........then again, good customer service is indeed PR!

Lunarchild, all three that you named are wonderful facilities. I think that the Bellagio location might work best though, more action around there than by Wynn and Venetian. You can walk out the door and within a couple of minutes be at Caesar%26#39;s, Paris, Bally%26#39;s, Mirage, etc. So, more to do and see without much effort.

My ranking Venetian, Bellagio and then the Wynn. Less crowded pools have hubby make reservation for the Venezia tower. Especially if you dont like direct sun. You can also use the other pools at the Venetian too to include Tao Beach.

Cheesy please. All of Vegas is cheesy. You are going to Vegas for Cheesy.

Take a gondola ride. Do some shopping at the canal shops. Jimmy Choo may still have their 50% off sale. See the Blue Man Group.

My girlfriend and I were just there at the beginning of the month.

Aquaknox and the Delmonico Steakhouse are excellent.

I let my girlfriend choose the hotel. gave her several options to include Wynn, Bellagio, the Venetian, Mirage, MGM and Mandalay Bay. She chose the Venetian.

Out of the 6 Hotels you list I have stayed at 5 of them.

You did not mention Caesars.

I would rank them as;

Bellagio

Venetian

Wynn

Mirage

MGM

THEHotel because of location

Wynn - it%26#39;s the best. I%26#39;m not sure where the person was who said ';too many baby%26#39;s and strollers, etc'; but it wasn%26#39;t the Wynn.

Bellagio - it%26#39;s the next best but there%26#39;s a dang ton of old grumpy people there. Sort of a downer IMO.

Venetian - very nice but a bit tired. Once they are done with all their new construction it may go back to the top of the list.

All three pack a very serious ';wow factor'; and honestly you wouldn%26#39;t be dissapointed with any. They are some seriously world class hotels - all among the very best in the world. I just find that after all the wow -over the top fanciness of vegas hotels has worn off the Wynn offers the most understated luxury, the best service, the most comfortable casino environment and definately the most comfortable beds. :)

';Cheesy please. All of Vegas is cheesy. You are going to Vegas for Cheesy.';

Maybe YOU are, but I%26#39;m going to Vegas because its LAS VEGAS, NV USA, not some Theme-Park-Fake-City-Mall-Mega-Casino-Hotel.

If I want too see the Eiffel Tower, I%26#39;ll go to France, if I want to experience NYC, I%26#39;ll go to New York, if I want too see pyramids I%26#39;ll go to Egypt, if I want to see canals in Venice, I%26#39;ll go to Italy, etc. etc.

The Las Vegas Strip is pretty much Walt Disney World Filled With Slot Machines...

uh, Ok....

Hi Lunarchild!

My Vote goes like this

Wynn

Bellagio

THEHotel

MGM

Venetian

Mirage

If you want a nice pool that is not too croweded, try the Wynn again, then.

I was just there for breakfast about 5 days ago and we dined on the patio overlooking the pool and it was very nice... not too crowded. Of course that was around 10am and you know how it heats up later in the day.

Still, having opened that hotel myself (being a former employee of Steve) I know that the pool design is made to feel less crowded, even when it is and also, by design its very enjoyable when you are the only person out there! (lets hope! I love getting the pool at to myself for a little stretch of time!)

I hope wherever you choose you have a wonderful time and look forward to hearing all about your trip. Happy 30th Birthday!

Cheers!

P.S. Some people really enjoy splitting thier time between hotels when out here, especially since you will be here a week... you might want to consider that, since you are young and energetic still!!!
